Our Story

"Mango and Mambo’s Pet Care" was inspired by two very special animals who shaped my love for pets.

Mambo was my childhood dog and had been by my side since I was born. Along with my other dog, Bella, they have shown me the incredible bond we share with our pets. Although they are no longer with me, they continue to inspire my love for animals. Mango came into my life about a year ago when I found him outside my Abuela’s home, unable to walk because of an injured leg. I took him in, helped him heal, and gave him a forever home with me.

I’ve been caring for animals and pet sitting for as long as I can remember. In 2024, I joined Rover and began pet sitting professionally, later gaining hands-on experience as a certified animal technician. As a college student, I decided to leave my job and pursue pet sitting full-time.

Today, I’m building Mango and Mambo's Pet Care with the goal of providing reliable, personalized, and compassionate care in the comfort of your pet’s own home.

Because pets are family, and they deserve to be cared for like it.

We've had Sofia pet sit for both of our babies twice and they absolutely adore her.
The first time was for an overnight visit and the second time was for a week away. We have a 6yo German shepherd and a 12 year old cat. Our GSD has a big bark which can put some people off but Sofia wasnt concerned at all and our dog immediately melted into her. When she came to sit for us a second time our dog remembered her immediately and turned into a fluff puddle and insisted on sitting next to her on the couch while we got the last of our things together before leaving. Both times we came home our babies were calm and chill and exhibited zero symptoms of anxiety which is a feat considering our dog is usually a little miffed with us after a long day at work. Sofia did a great job maintaining communication with us while we were gone and had zero issues keeping with our schedule for them including giving medications to our dog. She also did an amazing job keeping the house tidy while we were gone which can be quite the task considering how much our dog sheds.

Sofia is our absolute go-to whenever we go on vacation. I absolutely cannot recommend her enough!

Sofia is the absolute best! We always struggle to find someone we trust with Boone but his love for her says it all. For a dog who usually doesn't care about people, he is always so excited to see her and hates saying goodbye. Leaving for a few days was such a breeze knowing he was in good hands. Sofia stayed with him the entire time, knowing he's anxious being left alone.
Even when our flight was delayed, she was able to keep him company until we walked through the door. We can recommend her enough! Boone's her number one fan.

    Easy! Send us a message and tell us a little about your pet and what kind of care you’re looking for. We’ll arrange a meet-and-greet so we can get to know you, learn your pet’s routine, and — most importantly — make sure your furry family member approves of us!



  • Will I get updates while you’re caring for my pet?

    Of course! We know being away from your pet can be hard, so expect plenty of updates, cute photos, and maybe even a silly video or two. We want you to enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe, happy, and getting lots of love.

  • Can you care for pets with special needs or medications?

    Absolutely — just tell us what your pet needs. Whether they’re a senior sweetheart, need a little extra patience, have a specific routine, or require medication, we’ll talk through everything with you ahead of time to make sure we can provide the best possible care.



  • How far in advance should I book?

    The earlier, the better — especially for weekends, holidays, and busy travel seasons! Our calendar can fill up quickly, but don’t be afraid to reach out if you have a last-minute need. We’ll always do our best to squeeze in one more wagging tail.
